Josh Wagner
I’ve been playing guitar in the band Shachah for the past 3 years. I feel my role in the band is to bring solid, creative guitar parts to the music. I have been playing guitar for 10 years, but music has been apart of my life as far back as I can remember. As a child, I remember music was always playing in the house. My mom sings and plays piano, my Uncle Phil sings and plays bass, and my Uncle Bobby sings and plays guitar. Music was so exciting to me. By age eight I was taking drum lessons, and by age nine I had started to take interest in the guitar. A person who had a huge musical influence on me was my older brother Phillip. He was the one who showed me my first guitar chords, and was constantly making me better as I grew in my playing. As soon as I could play any kind of music, either on the drums, or on the guitar, I was playing music with Phillip. I grew up in a Christian home. And my parents saw the passion I had for music. They always taught me to put my relationship with Jesus above anything I ever did with music. I took those words to heart, and realized that playing music for the Lord was what I wanted to do with my life. When I reached high school, my youth pastor Chris Wagner, and my music teacher Jeff Huntington re-enforced the wisdom of putting the Lord before music. I became the worship leader for my school, and for the high school youth group at Joshua Springs Calvary Chapel.  Over time, the Lord has shown me a lot about living a lifestyle of worship. I praise His name for allowing me to be apart of such an incredible ministry.
